INTRODUCTION:

The family of Parasparam which consists of 25 female orphan children was inaugurated in 2nd June 1993 by a great philanthropist Mr. Franz Xaver Augustin and later on in 1997 Thirumathi. R. Vijayalakshmi Amma took charge of this registered trust to facilitate and initiate the excellent work being done on during 2019 – 2020 is humbly submitting this annual report.

  • Two of our inmates namely Priyadharshini and Muthukowsalya successfully passed their 12th std Govt. examination of which Priyadharshini is doing B.Sc., Chemistry course at Udumalaipattai Govt. Art &Science college and Muthukowsalya doing her Certificate course on Dialysis at Government Medical College Coimbatore. In addition to it our old inmates Shanthi and Nikitha were doing course on Dialysis at Madurai Govt. Medical College and Coimbatore Govt. Medical College respectively.
  • Our new inmates Nagalakshmi and Akilandeeswari who are doing 7th and 6th Std., are new additional to the Parasparam Family.
  • Skills like Chess, Sprinting and High Jump, Painting, Elocution, Music, Dancing and quoting memorized Thirukural where excelled by our inmates in School and District level Competitions.
  • Four of our inmates namely Rahini, Savithra, Ramya and Vimala demonstrated Silambam which is age old defensive techniques in front of their Mahalakshmi Girl Higher Secondary School inmates.
  • 8 of our inmates went on one day quarterly holiday tour to Madurai tourism places like Thiruparankundram, Thirumalai Nayakkar Mahal, Pazhamuthirsolai, Alagarkovil, Gandhi Musium, Park, Meenatchi Amman Kovil.
  • As usual Thiru. Subha Marimuthu has taken more initiative and involvement in planting fruit bearing trees at Parasparam Garden and other trees are also being taken care of at our Trust.
  • Step by stem reduction of dog – pets into 2 and 19 cat – pets are taken care of by the Parasparam Trust.
  • With help of kind hearted local people, inmates celebrated all the festivals of this year with gay and gaiety. Our children celebrated Deepavali Festival wearing 4 sets of new cloths with sweets and crackers with help of kind hearted donors. Children enjoyed the festival very much during Pongal our children wear new cloths with sweet pongal and sugarcane. Other festivals like Saraswathi Pooja, Vinayakar Chadhurthi, Thiru Karthikai Cristmas and Ramjan were also celebrated very well.
  • Every year National Festivals of Republic Day and Independents Day were celebrated with flag hoisting of our National Flag and distribution of sweets. Children’s Day along with Gandhi Jayanthi 150th year birthday was celebrated by our children happily.
  • Veeraselvi and Sowmiya got married Helping Hand of India Trust provided house hold utensils as Seervarisai; the same trust helping in their higher studies.
  • About 15 days of each and every month kind hearted donors are giving us food, notebooks and stationeries to help our children.
  • Children are celebrating their birthdays with help of Thiru. Angupillai and his group.
  • The above activities were done successfully only through the monitory support of kind hearted valuable donars with a special mention to Dr. Satheesh (DMS Hospitals Batlagundu) stepmother Thirumathi. K. Rani of Devarappanpatty who gave a record local donation of Rs. 3,00,000 to our children’s educational welfare fund.
  • For the well being of our children Yoga, Art &Craft and Motivation classes are conducted during 10 days of March end by Miss. Thou from Vietnam.
  • Five days government workshop programme was attended by Thirumathi. Vani at Dindigul from 27.06.2019 to 01. 07.2019 to learn children care and protection.
  • We are maintaining files and registers properly for Parasparam Trust activities which include purchase of groceries and vegetable.
  • Accounts was properly maintained and audited regularly.
  • Quarterly reports are being sent to Government Intelligence Department.
  • Periodical meetings were carried out with Children, Parents and Home management committee, properly to carry out welfare schemes and to take important decisions.

CONCLUSION:

In order meet the challenging educational system and open up higher grades of employability of Parasparam inmates, we are always looking forward with kind hearted and lovable donars support both monitory and material wise for the organization to attained new set of goals. Only from your valuable support we can achieve ongoing activities of development and maintenance that can be done simultaneously for the sustainable improvement of Parasparam rural female children.
